Happy Birthday Steve!

Anna wanted everyone to know it's Daddeeeee's birthday tomorrow!  She says...
"My daddy is the best.  In my short life he and I have had such fun together!

He plays the piano with me...

He holds me when I need him to...

He helps me wave when I just don't have it in me...

He cuts my nails and does my hair as we admire my prettiness in the bathroom mirror...

And he even romps with me all over the house!"

Well, happy birthday to Steve - a great year it has been and a great year it will be.  May God grant us great fruitfulness in this year!

Sporty Anna...Then and Now

Steve and I sometimes wonder if Anna will be musical, or if possibly she will just be interested in sports, in which we will cheer for her, but most likely not really know what's happening in the game.  Well, no matter what happens in the future, she currently enjoys balls of various kinds.

At 11 months, Anna played with tennis balls at 5am.  See below:

Now, at almost 15 months, she plays with our new $2 target ball from Aunt Bo #2, at more reasonable hours!  Many, many circles around the house, with much focus and intensity on
1) throwing the ball
2) walking to it
3) throwing it again.

I particularly like this ball because of the great amount of time it takes her to "play" this game, and how happy she is being intense about it.

Anna and the birdies

Little budding musician

The thumb is good even in the bath

Enjoying the spoon, and a couple rice krispies...

Anna has 3 words now -
"Ba-beeeeeee" for baby (yay for David Thompson who she sees quite frequently)
"Da-deeeeeee" for daddy
"Te" for tweet (like the birdies say)

She will frequently start tweeting when I don't even realize the birds are going at it!

Anna's Big Day

Hi everybody!

I have been thinking for over a year about doing a blog and have finally decided to do one.

Today we got Anna's bike trailer and Anna learned to walk...well, across the room.

Looking spiffy with her helmet!

I love this one!

The first bike ride...

Practicing walking!

Sometimes it's like she dances when she walks

Sometimes ended up on the floor, but was happy about it!
